Lynne Arriale's new album, Being Human, is all about "people who exemplify Passion, courage, love, curiosity, and other human qualities," the Florida pianist tells Rita Kohn of the Indianapolis Star.
"These individuals have devoted their lives to serving humanity and making our world better."
She hopes the music on the album "will be uplifting and convey a sense of unity and optimism," Kohn writes.
Arriale, who lives in Nashville, says her goal is to "bring attention to issues of the day and people who exemplify Passion, courage, love, curiosity, and other human qualities."
She hopes her new album "will be meant to convey a sense of hope, uplift, and unity with our fellow human beings."
